NetPoetic Twitter and Poet’s Market Mention
NetPoetic Twitter. I’ve created a NetPoetic Twitter account, and will include a Twitter feed on the right. I’m looking for ten people to add in as authors on that NetPoetic Twitter account (basically just giving you the UN and PW). So send me, Jason Nelson, an email if you want to be in the Twitter group. Anything goes there….so creativity and banality are more than fine.
Those that have been posting here get first dibs. Otherwise it is first come first serve as they say in the Fast Food lands.
My email: heliopod (in the gmail world).
Poet’s Market Mention. Not sure what this is evidence of…..but the new Poet’s Market has a short article on E-Poetry. It isn’t all that comprehensive, but does mention Poems that Go, some of my odd work (the games mostly), and a few other digital poets (some of which aren’t practicing much anymore).
When I began writing print poetry in the late 90s, I used the PM as a reference for where to publish. And while it still offers a good (but largely incomplete) list, I’m now wary of the book. It seems strange and sad that they sell tens of thousands of copies, and yet poetry journals struggle to get a few hundred subscribers. And having worked/edited for a poetry print journal, I’m shocked by the number of submissions versus the actual monetary support. I’ll try to scan and include the article here later.
